Unusual Georgian Silver Tea Straining Spoon

An unusual George III silver tea caddy and straining spoon, hallmarked London 1806. Simple form slightly oval bowl, pierced to the surface to allow multi purpose use as a caddy spoon and to pour the tea through and collect the grounds. Short rolled over tapering handle with rounded end. Bears the makers mark for London George Wintle, flatware maker. Presented in excellent condition. Measures 3.25" long x 1.5" wide at the bowl. Stock number 40344
