Unusual Proportioned James II Oak Coffer
An unusual low and deep proportioned unaltered James II oak coffer with original polish and lock plate c.1680. Planked top with scalloped edge to each side and zig zag scribed border. Simple oak planked sides and base with the stiles to each corner forming the legs. Original hand forged lock plate and clasp to the front. The hinged lid opening to reveal a clean interior. Superb original colour and patina, excellent original condition throughout, ideal as a lamp table or coffee table. Measures 34.5" wide x 22" deep x 21.5" high. Stock number 40712.
