Unusual Victorian Chester Silver Jug Pounce Pot

An unusual small Victorian silver pounce pot in the form of a jug, hallmarked Chester 1896. Tapering design with looped embossed handle to the side and removable overlapped top with small holes to allow the sand to be sprinkled. The push fit top removing to reveal an immaculate gilt lined interior. Bears the makers mark for Cornelius Saunders & Frank Shepherd. Presented in immaculate unused condition with a deep shine. Measures 2.25" tall x 1.25" at the basex 0.75" at the top. Stock number 36175.
