Unusual Victorian Silver Nib Ink Well

A top quality and unusual Victorian period solid silver nib design ink well with the original crystal ink well, hallmarked Birmingham 1893. The circular formed stand with rising sides forming a pen nib design with small slit and engraved line to the centre. Rolled over flange to the base to hold the original cut crystal ink well, bears the makers mark for John Heath & John Middleton, subsequently Hukin & Heath. Presented in unused immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 5.25" high x 1.75" diameter. Stock number 35540.
