Unusual Victorian Silver Oval Vesta Case By Sampson Mordan
An unusual Victorian cast silver vesta case with ribbed finish by collected maker Sampson Mordan, hallmarked London 1890. The heavy quality cast silver case oval in form with both sides decorated in a diagonal ribbed design, and the sides of the case with a complementing ribbed design which also doubles up as a match striker; hanging loop to the top. The firm fitting hinged lid opening to reveal a clean interior. Bears the makers mark for Sampson Mordan along with clear hallmarks. Presented in immaculate condition.
