Unusual Victorian Silver Tied Parcel Vesta Case
A superb quality and unusual solid silver vesta case in the form of a tied parcel, hallmarked Birmingham 1896. The solid silver case with cushioned effect and superbly detailed tied silver string giving the exterior of the case the appearance of a tied parcel. The hinged top case opening to reveal an immaculate unused gilt lined interior to store the matches, striking plate to the base and hanging loop to the top. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths Thomas Acott along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Beautifully made and detailed throughout and presented in immaculate unu...sed condition.
