A Victorian rosewood stick barometer by Sir John Bennett of Cheapside London C.1885. Solid timber case with arched moulded top and original bone scale, vernier marker and thermometer. Visible tube to the mercury action movement, turned cistern cover to the base with bone inset bearing the makers mark. Sir John Bennett of 65 Cheapside is listed in Banfield as working at this address between 1883 and 1900. Fully overhauled movement, full working order. Stock number 32909.
