A fine quality mid Victorian vinaigrette and scent combination in the form of a horn by highly regarded and collected retailer Aspreys of London; in mint condition, hallmarked London 1871. Formed in the shape of a horn, the mouthpiece unscrewing to access the scent bottle. The horn end with hinged snap closing cover, opening to reveal a gilded floral design fretted cover to the vinaigrette. The horn with two ringed straps and hanging chain, along with a securing chain for the mouthpiece. The interior of the lid bearing Aspreys mark and Bond Street, London add...ress, along with hallmarks and makers mark for London Silversmith Jane Brownett. Superb quality and detail, a rare and collectible item by a desirable retailer, presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 3.5" long x 1.5" diameter tapering to 0.5" diameter.
