Victorian Brass and Silver Pot Pourri
A superbly detailed Victorian brass pot pourri with fretted and engraved decoration and applied silver mounts c.1875. The oblong brass box with ornate fretted and engraved decoration to the cushion top and to the sides to let the aroma out. Fine quality applied engraved silver mounts to the corners, edges and behind the lid handle. The hinged lid opening by button release to the front; opening to reveal a storage compartment to hold the pot pourri. Beautifully made and presented in excellent original condition with a deep shine. Measures 9" wide x 5" deep x 3" high. Stoc...k number 42019.
