Victorian Brass Trimmed Walnut Book Slide
A mid Victorian figured walnut extending book slide with applied fretted brass decoration c.1875. Moulded ebonised edge base with figured walnut veneers to the surface, fold down hinged arched top supports to hold the books in place and each with decorative applied brass decoration. The hinged supports folding up to form a book stand, each side pulling out to double the size of the stand. Superb quality and presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 13.5" wide and extending to 19" wide x 5.5" deep x 7" high with the book supports standing up.... Stock number 41202.
