Victorian Brass Trimmed Walnut Stationery Box
An immaculate Victorian figured walnut dome topped stationery box with brass bound exterior and original fitted interior c.1880. Figured walnut veneered exterior with domed hinged top. The lid and front of the box with engraved brass fretwork and engraved bindings, which return around the sides secured by domed head studs, plus matching brass lock escutcheon. The lid opening to reveal an original fitted interior with divisions to hold paper, letters and envelopes. Superb quality and condition with working lock and key and presented in immaculate condition with a de...ep shine. Measures 6.5" wide x 5" deep x 9" high. Stock number 42872.
