A quality Victorian carved oak cased aneroid banjo barometer with porcelain dial, fully restored and working c.1885. The solid oak banjo design case with scalloped carved surround to the dial and carved relief to the case. Decorative porcelain dial sat behind a bevelled edge glass mounted in a polished brass bezel with central reading marker, matching scale to the thermometer. The aneroid movement fully serviced and working, the case work in superb condition with a rich colour and original patina. Measures 34" long x 11" max width x 8" dial diameter x 2.75" max depth.
