A Victorian carved walnut cased banjo barometer with aneroid movement and porcelain dial, fully serviced and working c.1885. The solid walnut case with carved decoration to the top and matching decoration to the base, turned surround to the dial. Porcelain dial with weather predictions highlighted in red sat around the outer edge, sat behind a beveled edge glass with central reading marker, mounted in a polished brass bezel. Matching scale to the thermometer with original mercury action thermometer. Presented in excellent condition with a rich colour and original patina, fully serviced and ...working.
