Victorian Cast Brass Framed Fire Guard
A top quality late Victorian solid brass three fold fire guard with original brass mesh c.1890. The cast solid brass frame formed in three sections, with concealed hinges to the top and base. Large section to the front to cover the fire opening, and smaller sections to each side which are adjustable for angle. The framework holding the original brass basket weave effect mesh which is in perfect undamaged condition. Carrying handle to the top with decorative mounts and which also support the two front rails. Finials set to the ends of each section at the top and complementing pad feet to the... base. Beautifully made and engineered; presented in excellent original condition.
