A Victorian Chinese blue and white ginger jar and cover converted to a table lamp with rise and fall brass lamp fitting, rewired ready for use c.1880. Classical ginger jar form with hand painted floral decoration and Greek key design boarder to the top of the base and to the lid. Brass rise and fall column to the top with thumb screw release allowing the two lamp fitting column to rise and fall, screw release finial at the top to hold the lampshade. Fully rewired ready for use, silk covered flex and new brass switched lamp holders and fitted plug (shade shown included). Prese...nted in perfect unrestored condition with no damage or repairs, fully rewired ready for use. Measures 10" diameter at the base x 25" high overall (lamp and shade), extending to 38" high. The porcelain jar is 17" high and shade 16" diameter. Stock number 40646.
