A Victorian turned and carved oak leaf wreath design aneroid barometer by Cooke of Hull c.1890. The broad turned and carved solid mahogany case with oak leaf design wreath to the centre and polished brass hanging plate to the top. Skeletonised aneroid movement with decorative enamel dial sat around the edge. The dial sat behind bevelled edge glass, which is mounted in a polished brass bezel with central reading marker. Bears the makers mark for well known Hull barometer makers and retailers Cooke. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine, fully serviced a...nd working. Measures 7.5" diameter overall with a 4" diameter dial x 1.75" deep. Stock number 43238.
