Antique Victorian Double Fusee Lantern Clock

Description

A fully restored late Victorian double fusee lantern clock with bell striking on the hour and half hour c.1890. The polished brass case with engraved dial centre and chapter ring with Roman numerals. Turned pilars to each corner with small bun feet below. Decorative cast and fretted panels to the top of each side with bell stand straps crossing over to form a crown. Large polished nickel bell sat inside the crown and held in place with a finial to the centre. Double fusee movement with anchor escapement and original chain drives; striking to the inside of the bell on the hour and half hour.  A short video of this clock chiming is available to view via our YouTube channel - click here.  Doors to access the moment to each side of the case and a removable back door. Superb quality and condition, the casework polished and the movement fully overhauled and working. Measures 6.5" wide x 6" deep x 15" high. Stock number  TBA.
