A difficult to find Victorian solid silver pocket watch style double sovereign case, hallmarked Chester 1900. The circular case with rounded edges and slightly domed sides, hanging loop to the top with inset push button release for opening. The lid with sprung opening, opens to reveal a hinged internal section with storage for full sovereigns on both sides; the sovereigns held in place by sprung loaded disks. Bears the makers mark for silversmiths E J Trevithick along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Presented in immaculate unused condition with a deep shine.
