Victorian Embossed Floral Silver Gilt Card Case by George Unite
A fine quality and superbly detailed mid Victorian embossed silver gilt card case by highly regarded silversmith George Unite, hallmarked Birmingham 1877. The slim solid silver gilded case embossed with a small and highly detailed flower and leaf design; the background of the decoration with crosshatch design engraving. The decoration repeated on both sides of the case with blank shield shaped cartouche to the front. The hinged top third of the case opening to access the contents. Bears the makers mark for highly regarded silversmith George Unite along with clear hallmarks. Presented in exc...ellent condition with original unworn gilt finish.
