A Victorian figured oak aneroid banjo barometer with porcelain dial, fully serviced and working c.1900. The golden figured oak casework with leaf motif crest to the top and complementing crest to the base. Porcelain dial with red capitals to the weather predictions, sat under a bevelled edge glass, which is mounted in a polished brass bezel with central reading marker. Matching scale to the thermometer with original mercury action thermometer sat above. Made by E. Johnson & Son of Derby. Excellent quality and presented in immaculate condition with a rich colour and original patina, full...y serviced and working. Measures 11" maximum width x 2.5" maximum depth x 35" high.
