A superior quality late Victorian brass cased four glass clock with 8 day Paris made movement c.1885. The polished brass case with pilasters to each corner, moulded edge to the top forming a cornice and apron foot to the base. Quarter plate bevelled glasses with hinged doors to the front and rear. 8 day Paris exhibition movement with anchor escapement and mercury compensated pendulum, strikes on the hour and half hour on a gong. Cream porcelain enamel dial with Arabic numerals, set in a polished brass bezel. Fully overhauled and working, presented in excellent condition with a deep shine.
