A superb quality Victorian 8 day 'four glass' clock with visible escapement and bell chiming movement, fully serviced and working c.1890. Gilt brass case with original finish, hinged doors to the front and rear to access the dial and movement, perfect quarter plate bevelled edge glass to all four sides. The French 8 day movement with visible 'Brocot' escapement to the dial, bell chiming on the hour and half hour. White porcelain two piece dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands and unusual pendulum with cut crystal centre. Presented in excellent original condition and in full working... order.
