A Victorian brass cased four glass mantel clock with visible escapement to the dial and gong chiming, fully serviced and working c.1885. The brass case with original water gilt finish, moulded edges with dental moulding to the top forming a cornice and hinged doors to the front and rear for accessing the movement. Quarter plate bevelled edge glass in perfect condition to all sides and all sat on a moulded edge base forming the foot. Two piece porcelain dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands, plus visible ' Brocot' escapement to the top of the ...dial. 8 day movement with gong striking on the hour and half hour.
