A small proportioned Victorian period low back yew and elm Windsor chair with crinoline stretcher c.1840. Moulded elm seat with railed back and fretted center splat, bentwood top rail and arms with finely turned supports to the front. Slender turned legs with supporting bentwood crinoline base stretcher. Superb condition with a wonderful rich colour and original patina. Measures 22" wide x 16" deep x 35" high to the top of chair back.16.5" seat height. Stock number 40976.
