Victorian Mahogany and Brass Framed Magazine Stand

A quality Victorian mahogany and brass magazine stand or Canterbury on turned tripod foot c.1880. Polished mahogany platform with an ebony strung moulded edge. Four brass framed and railed divisions to the top for storing magazines or sheet music, with an arched top division to to the centre forming a carrying handle. The top section sat on a short turned pedestal with tripod foot to the base, the legs of the tripod strung with ebony to match the platform. Presented in excellent condition with a rich polish.
