Victorian Mahogany Brass Bound Stick Stand

An unusual Victorian solid mahogany bow fronted brass bound stick stand with flat rear for flush standing aginst a wall c.1880. The stand constructed from stips of moulded edge fruitwood strung mahogany giving a pinstripe effect. The strips secured by the brass bindings, each secured by large decorative brass rivets. Moulded plinth to the base forming the foot and flat solid mahogany rear with cut out handle to the top. Original removable painted steel liner to the interior. Superb quality and presented in excellent original condition with a rich colour and polish.
