Victorian Mahogany Pedestal Desk
A quality late Victorian mahogany pedestal desk with leather writing surface and original brass fittings c.1885. Moulded mahogany surround to the tooled pale golden tan leather top, with three drawers immediately below the writing surface. Each pedestal with three matching graduated drawers and moulded edge apron plinth forming the foot, which also includes concealed castors behind the apron. Original brass ring drop ring fittings to all drawers and the desk has polished sides and back to allow for free standing. Presented in excellent condition with a rich colour and deep polish, very stu...rdy and useable. The desk separates into three pieces for ease of moving.
