A Victorian turned mahogany Policeman's truncheon with original gilt sign written decoration c.1870. The turned solid mahogany truncheon with shaped and ribbed handle to aid grip, slightly tappering shaft with rounded end sat above. Original hand sign written black and gilt V.R division and officer number set in a cartouch below. Presented in excellent original unrestored condition with a rich colour and patina.
