A Victorian brass cased marine barometer with engraved silvered dial and crescent thermometer by Thomas Armstrong, Manchester c.1880. The original engraved silvered dial with weather predictions and scale to the outer edge, plus blown glass mercury action crescent shaped thermometer to the lower half of the dial. The dial sat behind a glazed viewing window with central reading marker. The solid brass dished casing with polished brass bezel and brass hanging loop to the top. Bears the makers name for highly regarded instrument maker Thomas Armstrong, Manchester to the dial. Fully serviced, i...n full working order and presented in immaculate condition
