Victorian Miniature Portrait on Cow Bone
A mid Victorian miniature portrait of a young woman painted on cow bone and sat in the original ebony and gilt oval frame c.1875. The portrait of a young lady in a pale blue gown with hair up and jewels in her hair is painted in oil with superb detail on a bone plaque. Sat in the original oval polished ebony frame with gilt brass trim to the inner edge and hanging loop to the top. Signed with unidentified signature of the artist. Presented in mint condition.
