A superior quality Victorian carved oak banjo barometer with skeletonised movement and enamel dial c.1885. The solid English oak case has decorative carving to the top and the base, and an original alcohol action open scale thermometer set to the top. Skeletonised aneroid movement surrounded by enamel dial, sat behind a bevelled edge glass view window, mounted in a polished brass bezel, with central reading marker. Fully serviced and working presented in superb condition with original polish to the case. Measures 33" long x 12" wide x 2.5" maximum depth. Stock number 37933.
