A Top Quality Victorian antique carved oak banjo barometer with skeleton movement and porcelain dial. c.1890. Superb crisp detail to the solid polished oak case, with porcelain scales to the movement and thermometer. Skeleton visible movement sat behind bevel edge glass with a reading marker knob to the centre. Original mercury action thermometer. Bears the makers mark for T. B.Winter & Son. Newcastle(w.1875-95). Fully overhauled movement. Measures 36" long x 11" wide x 2.5" deep. Stock number 33251.
