An original Victorian oak cased Admiral Fitzroy barometer fully restored and working c.1885. The slim solid oak case with carved crest to the arched top, twin remote vernier markers to the sides with brass adjusters. Original hand tinted printed chart to the back with mercury action stick barometer set to the centre, storm tube and mercury action thermometer set to the sides. Bears the makers name H. Soppet, Middlesbrough on ivorine backplate. Twin vernier markers to the charts in full working order. Set behind a glazed view window. Presented in excellent condition and fully working.
