A Victorian polished golden oak cased 8 day single fusee English dial clock by Lisle of Exeter, fully serviced and working c.1890. Moulded golden polished oak surround to the dial with matching back box, access door to the base and to the side. 12" painted dial with Roman numerals and the makers name, and blued steel hands. Sat behind a glazed hinged polished brass bezel forming a dial door. The 8 day single fusee movement with anchor escapement and original chain drive. W. R. Lisle and Son's are recorded as working in Fore St, Exeter from the 1870's. This excellent example in superb ...condition with a rich polish to the casework, fully serviced and working. Measures 12" diameter dial x 15" diameter overall x 5.5" deep. Stock number 39231.
