A Victorian turned and rope twist carved oak cased ships barometer with porcelain dial, fully serviced and working c.1885. The quality figured golden oak turned casework with carved rope twist design surround to the dial. Aneroid movement sat behind a white porcelain dial with weather predictions sat around the outer edge. Glazed view window mounted in a polished brass bezel with reading marker set to the centre. Excellent quality and condition with a rich polish to the case, fully serviced and working. Measures 7" diameter x 2.5" deep. Stock number 41587.
