A late Victorian porcelain dial turned polished oak aneroid barometer c.1890. Deep moulded and turned solid oak case with a superb light colour and deep shine, brass hanging mount to top. Porcelain dial sat behind bevelled edge glass mounted in a polished brass bezel with central reading marker. The dial bearing the maker's name, Martin of Newcastle, presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine, fully serviced and working. Measures 9.5" diameter (10" high with hanging loop) x 2.5" deep. Stock number 38962.
