A fine quality Victorian brass gorge cased carriage clock with striking and repeating movement, fully overhauled and working c.1885. The polished solid brass case with hinged handle to the top, circular bevel edge view window below and matching bevel edge glasses to the four sides. Gilt dial mask with circular porcelain dial set to the centre, Roman numerals and blued steel hands. The Paris made 8 day movement with original cylinder escapement, striking on the hour and half hour; repeater button to the top of the case (see video). Presented in immaculate fully restored condition ...with perfect glasses and dial. Measures 5.5" high or 7.25" with handle up x 3.5" wide x 3.25" deep. Stock number 39219.
