A slim proportioned Victorian rosewood stick barometer with engraved bone scale by highly regarded maker Adie & Son, Edinburgh in full working order c.1880. The slim proportioned solid rosewood case with moulded edge arched top, slim simple trunk and turned bulbous cistern cover to the base. Bone scale with vernier marker and original mercury action thermometer sat to the side. Mercury action barometer tube set to the centre of the scale and visible to the trunk. Superb quality and condition, the case with a rich colour and original patina, the movement fully serviced and working. ...
