Victorian Sampson Mordan Smelling Salts Bottle and Vinaigrette
A superb quality Victorian Sampson Mordan Bristol blue glass and silver smelling salts bottle and vinaigrette combination, hallmarked Birmingham 1862. Dark Bristol blue faceted crystal vessel with silver collar to the top and flared hinged lid to the end. Push button release to the top, opens to reveal a gilt lined interior with spring loaded inner glass cover to keep the salts aroma in. Silver vinaigrette base with deep clipped corners and hinged cover. The cover opening to reveal a clean gilt lined interior with a decorative fretted and engraved inner hinged cover; to keep the scented spo...nge behind. Bears the makers mark and name Sampson Mordan to all sections along with clear hallmarks. Superb quality and presented in excellent condition. Measures 3.5" long x 1.5" wide x 0.75" deep.
