A quality Victorian turned mahogany cased aneroid `Weathertel` barometer by highly regarded instrument maker Short & Mason c.1900. Deep turned polished mahogany case with porcelain dial set to the centre, aneroid movement set behind. Bevelled edge view window sat over the top with central reading marker, mounted in a polished brass bezel. Short & Mason were a high quality manufacturer of barometer and barographs and worked in London from 1873, this high quality example presented in excellent condition and fully working. Measures 9.75" diameter x 2.5" deep. Stock number 390...91.
