A small Victorian solid silver traveling carriage clock with French movement, fully serviced and working, hallmarked London 1898. The polished solid silver case with arched scrolled over carrying handle to the top, small bun feet to the base and hinged door to the rear. Circular convex porcelain enamel dial with Arabic numerals and blued steel hands, sat behind a matching convex glass set in a polished silver bezel. The rear door with small swept flange to the side to aid opening, opens to reveal an immaculate gilt lined interior with Paris made movement with platform escapement. Bears the ...makers mark for London silversmiths and retailers Goldsmiths & Silversmiths along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Presented in excellent condition, fully serviced and working. Measures 3.75" high with handle up x 2.75" high with handle down x 2" wide x 1.75" deep. Stock number 40329.
