A Victorian black slate and specimen marble desktop thermometer with original mercury action thermometer C.1880. Stepped slate base supporting the arched shape upright with a band of colourful specimen marbles surrounding the original bone scale with mercury action thermometer. Excellent original condition with no cracks or repairs, the thermometer in full working order. Measures 8" high x 4.5" wide x 3" deep. Stock number 36272.
