A late Victorian walnut acorn & oak leaf Manchester aneroid barometer c.1890. The carved and turned solid walnut casework with oak leaf and acorn design boarder. Porcelain dial bearing the makers name A. Franks of Manchester, visible skeletonised works to the centre, sat behind a thick bevelled edge glass set in a polished brass bezel with centre reading marker pointer. Brass hanging plate to the top. Fully serviced and in full working order. Superb colour, condition and patina. Measures 7.5" diameter x 2" deep. Stock number 38877.
