A difficult to find set of Victorian solid walnut metamorphic library steps, which close to form a side chair c.1890. Substantial solid walnut construction, which when closed forms a chair with solid seat and decorative railed back rest. The chair back folding over and opening to form a solid and useable set of library or occasional steps; four steps tall, each with original carpet treads. Superbly constructed and presented in excellent original condition with a rich colour and polish.
