A fine quality William IV period engraved silver gilt topped travelling ink well, hallmarked London 1833. The solid silver top with fine quality engraving and original gilt finish, locking nut to the hinged cover with original cork washer. Faceted cut crystal well forming the base. Bears the makers mark for London silversmiths Archibald Douglas, specialist ink well and lid makers, along with clear hallmarks. Presented in superb condition with an immaculate original gilt finish. Measures 1.5" diameter x 1.5" high. Stock number 40330.
