Robert 'Kingpost' Ingham Arts & Crafts Side Cabinet
A Yorkshire school arts & crafts adzed oak side cabinet by Robert ' Kingpost ' Ingham in superb original condition c.1950's. Planked topmand paneled sides, single drawer to the top and double cupboard below. The framework all with visible pegged joints and the surfaces with adzed finish. Original moulded handles to the drawer and matching handles to the cupboard; original black iron decorative hinges. Carved on the front right hand door with the makers trademark, along with inset bone maker lable inside the cabinet. Though Robert Inghams pieces are fashioned in the style of his fellow Y...orkshire critters, he was the only one who didn't train with Robert Thompson, he sold his business in 1960 to Acorn industries. This example superbly made and presented in immaculate condition with a rich colour and patina.
